Mr. Leal's geometry classes
This course is designed to emphasize Euclidian Geometry, the study of the properties and applications of common geometric figures in two and three dimensions. It includes the study of transformations and right triangle trigonometry. Inductive and deductive thinking skills are used in problem solving situations, and applications to the real world are stressed. It also exposes students to writing proofs to solve (prove) properties of geometric figures. Students who complete Geometry are encouraged to take Algebra II next.
Mr. Leal intends for students to learn the basic standard Euclidian Geometry that meets and surpasses the state standard as well as solidify their skill in mathematics and critical thinking skills necessary to be a successful member of society. Lessons contain rigor that will engage students and promote growth in not just math, but in life and prepare them for a better future. Here, we make good things happen!
